Getting concrete for a swimming pool in Spain to the right place is rarely simple. The pool is usually behind the villa, often on a lower terrace, and the only way in is a gate and a side path. A mixer lorry can't get close. Our truck-mounted pump can stand on the road and run the line to the pool, so the concrete goes straight into the excavation in one steady pour. We pump for pool contractors and builders across the Costa Blanca, and for owners building their own pool.
Pool concrete we pump
We pump concrete for pool base slabs, walls poured in formwork, block cores and the surround.
- Base slab: the reinforced floor of the pool, poured in one go.
- Walls: poured into formwork or used to fill block walls.
- Beam and coping base: the ring round the top of the pool.
- Pool surround and terrace: plain, brushed or stamped concrete.
- Plant room and balance tank bases where needed.
Your pool contractor designs the pool and fixes the steel. We bring the pump, the operator and the concrete, and place it where they want it.
A real job: 18 m³ for a pool in Alicante
We pumped 18 m³ of concrete for a swimming pool in Alicante.
At up to 35 m³ an hour the pump places a load like that comfortably within a morning, which means the concrete goes in evenly and your builder can work it while it is fresh. More examples are on our projects page.
Why pump concrete for a pool?
A pump places the concrete continuously and exactly where it is needed, without lorries on your garden.
A pool shell has to be dense and watertight. That means no long gaps between loads and proper compaction around the steel. With a pump the concrete arrives at a steady rate and the line can be moved round the whole pool. Our operator can use a poker vibrator to get rid of trapped air in walls and corners. Nothing heavy drives over your lawn, your septic tank or your drive, and the excavation edges don't get loaded by a lorry.
Getting the concrete to the back of the villa
Our line runs up to 400 metres from the pump and up to 50 metres high, so most garden pools are within reach.
On the hillside urbanisations of the Costa Blanca it is common for the pool to sit one or two levels below the road. The line goes down steps, over a wall or along a side path. If you are unsure about access, send us photos of the road, the gate and the pool area. Our mini concrete pump for narrow access page explains how we set up on tight sites.
For pool contractors and homeowners
We pump for pool contractors on their schedule, and we also quote homeowners directly.
If your pool company has booked us, we arrive on the agreed day and work to their instructions. If you are managing the build yourself, we agree the volume, mix and timing with you and give you one fixed price for pump, operator and lines, with the concrete arranged by us. We can usually schedule within three working days. One point of contact talks to the owner, the pool contractor and the Spanish concrete plant, so there are no misunderstandings on pour day. Afterwards the pump and lines are washed out and the area is left clean.

Price for pool concrete
The price depends on the volume, the line length to the pool, the height difference and any extras.
Your pool plans usually give the volume. If not, we can work it out with your builder. The details are on our concrete pump prices page. WhatsApp +34 633 361 962 with a photo of the access and we come back quickly with a fixed price.
Pool concrete: common questions
How much concrete does a swimming pool need?
It depends on size, depth and wall construction. As a reference, we pumped 18 m³ for a pool in Alicante. Your pool plans or pool contractor will give the exact figure.
Can you reach a pool below the level of the road?
Yes, in most cases. We pump up to 400 metres along the line, and down a sloping garden is no problem.
Do you build the pool as well?
No. We supply and pump the concrete with our operator. The pool design, excavation and steel fixing are done by your pool contractor.
Do you use a vibrator on pool walls?
Yes, a poker vibrator is available as an option to compact the concrete in walls and corners.
Can you also do the pool surround?
Yes. We pump and finish surrounds in plain, brushed or stamped concrete.
