Concrete pump in Calpe

Calpe's hillside villas are built in levels, often far above or below the road. Our pump reaches up to 50 metres high and 400 metres along the line.

A concrete pump in Calpe often has to work with height as much as distance. Around the Peñón de Ifach the villa areas climb steeply up the hillsides, and many homes are built on several levels to make the most of the views. We bring a compact truck-mounted Putzmeister static pump with our own operator, arrange the concrete and pump it up or down to wherever the builder needs it.

Steep, multi-level plots around Calpe

Many Calpe villa plots are on steep ground, so concrete often has to go several levels above or below the road.

Urbanisations such as Maryvilla and La Canuta sit on the slopes of the Morro de Toix, looking straight across the bay to the Peñón. Plots there are known for their steep gradients, which is why so many houses are built as a stack of terraces. Areas like Oltamar and Gran Sol also have raised plots with sea views. On sites like these a mixer lorry has nowhere to go, and a boom pump has nowhere to stand. Our pump lorry sets up on the road, and the line carries the concrete to the right level.

Pumping up: roof terraces and upper floors

We pump concrete and screed up to 50 metres high, enough for upper floors and roof terraces on a hillside villa.

On a house built in levels, the next slab is often well above where the lorry can park. The line goes up the scaffold or the outside stairs and the concrete arrives at the top without anyone carrying buckets. The same goes for liquid screed on upper floors, from 2.5 cm thick and walkable after one day.

Pumping down: pools and lower terraces

When the pool or garden is below the road, the line runs down the slope to it, up to 400 metres from the pump.

That is very common in Calpe: the entrance and parking at street level, the house below it, and the pool and terrace below that again. We run the line down steps or along a path, place the concrete and clean everything as we come back up. Read more about concrete for swimming pools and concrete patios and driveways.

From La Nucía to Calpe

Calpe is around half an hour's drive from our base in La Nucía.

That keeps scheduling straightforward. We can usually book a pour within three working days. The price is fixed in advance and covers pump, operator and lines, with the concrete ordered by us. Distance, height and line length are all part of that fixed price, explained on our prices page.

For builders, pool contractors and owners

We work for builders and pool contractors, or directly for owners managing their own project.

Calpe has a large international population, and many projects involve a foreign owner, a Spanish builder and a Spanish concrete plant. One point of contact talks to all three, so there are no misunderstandings on pour day.

Concrete pump in Calpe: common questions

How high can you pump concrete?

Up to 50 metres high. That covers upper floors and roof terraces on almost any villa.

Can you work on the steep roads in Maryvilla and La Canuta?

Our truck-mounted pump is compact and can be set up on narrow, sloping roads where a boom pump can't. Send us a photo of the road and we will confirm the setup.

My pool is below the house. Is that a problem?

No. We pump downhill as easily as uphill, with up to 400 metres of line.

How long does it take you to get to Calpe?

Around half an hour from La Nucía. The travel is included in the fixed price.

Do you do liquid screed in Calpe?

Yes. We pump liquid screed from 2.5 cm thick, including to upper floors.
